This was a rapidly re-arranged fixture following the cancellation by Crawley Down. North Holmwood batted first and made a good total of 203-8 in 42 overs. Ruky Wickremesinghe bowled a very tight spell taking 1-22 from eight overs but it was Matt Clarke who shined in taking 3-33 in 8 overs. All the North Holmwood batmen made contributions without anyone passing fifty. The Newdigate bowlers were happy with this total as the Holmwood batting is very strong as it included old foes, Darren and Dan Jordan and Ian Elliot. In reply Wickremesinghe (38) and Jack Wyllie (24) put on an opening partnership of 57 in 14 overs and Thomas Ball (24) batted stylishly. The improving,Cameron Osborne, hit his second half century of the season and he was backed up by an obdurate Matt Clarke who scored a quick-fire 30. With the loss of Clarke the impetus was lost and Newdigate ended on 194-6 after 40 overs, just ten runs short.
