Newdigate 289-4 dec vs. Forest Green 145 all out.
On a hot and cloudy day, Newdigate travelled down the road to Forest Green.
Forest Green asked Newdigate to bat, and we got underway.
Newdigate started brightly with the opening pair putting together a 96 partnership, before the first break through. Unfortunetely for Forest Green this didn't stop the second partnership from scoring 102. Sam Slade scored 125 and Newdigate were really going strongly.
And they didn't stop there asChris Perrin blasted a very agricultual 58 not out before the skipper called Newdigate in.
Newdigate finished on 289-4.
This gave Newdigate an extra 25 minutes before tea, to try and get a breakthrough, but it didnt come, and tea came with Forest Green on 13-0.
After the break, Newdigate needed to strike early to put pressure on, but it didn't happen with J Ball 49 and K Nicolson 52 batting solidly.Then the captain turned to Matt Dilger, who turned the game Newdigate's way, he removed the stubborn opening pair and took five more wickets finishing on figures of, 9/2/41/7 which won the game for Newdigate.
