Newdigate 151 all out vs. Mynthurst 117 all out
Another Sunday afternoon and Newdigate made the short journey to Mynthurst CC. Skipper Sam Slade won the toss and chose to bat, after last weeks collapse for 80 was this wise?
Iit seemed not to be as Newdigate started poorly, the skipper going cheaply and after 10 overs Newdigate were 24/2.
But they turned it around, a stand of 37 for the fifth wicket and 44 for the sixth brought the game back into Newdigate's favour.
Sam MacDonald scoring a straight 62. Newdigate were bowled out for 151 at tea.
After tea Mynthurst needed to get on the front foot, and tha'ts exactly what they did. Afirst wicket stand of 57 swung the balance their way, but then on came Sam MacDonald and his pace and accuracy proved too much as he took 9/2/24/6 and ripped through the middle order of Mynthurst. After some clever fielding Newdigate picked up a run out to end the innings with the hosts on 117.
