The Min 165 all out vs. Newdigate 94 all out.
On an overcast afternoon Newdigate hosted The Min. The visitors won the toss and chose to bat. Iin previous fixtures The Min have scored lots of runs against Newdigate so, Newdigate knew that they had to field well to win this game.
Newdigate did start well, aggressive in the field, not letting any runs go astray. Wickets constantly fell, but two batsmen glued the visitors innings together, Rutherford 51 and Gardiner 52 no. Newdigate had bowled very well especially Penfold 6.4/1/14/3. The Min had set a very defendable 165.
Newdigate had fielded well and definitely had the advantge after the break.
But the hosts never capitalised, they kept giving their wickets to the visitors due to lack of concentration, combined with good bowling. Newdigate were all out for 94. Chris Perrin top scored with 16. Garland the pick of the bowlers with 4/0/22/3
Newdigate had failed to find their first win of the season, after some fantastic fielding.
