Caterham 118-9 vs. Newdigate 96-3

 

Caterham batted first and soon found themselves in trouble at 10-3, but opener J.Miller (31) and number five, S.Russell (34 ret) steadied the ship with a partnership of 83. However, a late flurry of wickets saw Caterham on 118-9 from their allotted 20 overs. Both Wilfred Hoad and Will Roberts took two wickets apiece at a very economical rate. However, Newdigate bowled nine wides which was later to cost them dearly.

 

After the loss of an early wicket, Brandon Williams (21) and Charlie Wyllie (31 ret) batted very well and Christian Parsons (9) then tried to push the scoring rate along but eventually Newdigate fell 23 runs short of the target ...... but for the wides it could have been a different story.
