Newdigate U13 127-5 vs. Lingfield 95-5

 

Newdigate won this under 13 encounter in fine style in what was a real team performance. Batting first the two Newdigate openers, Andrew Kehl (31 retired) and Marley Bygrave (29) put on 67 for the first wicket in under eleven overs. Wickets started to fall in the quest for quick runs but Newdigate were happy to reach 127-5 with the reliable Christian Parsons scoring 10 not out.

 

In reply, Lingfield lost both openers to the pace of Bygrave (2-5) and J.Blake gave the home side hope in scoring a well compiled 30 not out but when Brandon Williams removed numbers 4 and 6 in a fine spell the total was out of reach and Lingfield closed on 95-5 after their 20 overs.
