Sanderstead U13 132-6 vs. Newdigate U13 80-7

 

The in-form Newdigate under 13s entertained a Sanderstead and definitely came out second best in a match which saw the home team beaten by very strong opposition.

 

The first four Sanderstead batmen all registered good scores and they were particularly severe on the seamers. Frustration also crept in as Newdigate registered 20 wides. Christian Parsons was the main wicket taker with 2-21 and Cameron Boychuk and Marley Bygrave chipped in with one wicket apiece.

 

The Sanderstead score of 132 looked pretty formidable as the core of the Newdigate batting was ripped out by Briggs and Miller. Andrew Kehl batted bravely for 17 but it was Christian Parsons who impressed with a score of 26 which only ended when he was stumped pressing for runs. Newdigate closed on 80 after their 20 overs.
