Newdigate U 202-6 vs. Lingfield 85 all out
Unbeaten Newdigate were at their very best in this comprehensive win over rivals Lingfield.
Chosing to bat first, openers Alex Southon and Jack Wyllie started positively. Southon playing the big shots, while Wyllie rotated the strike, and picked off the short boundary. The hundred partnership was reached inside 10 overs, and both players retired for well made half centuries.

Despite slowing down in the last few overs as wickets fell, the home team were able to set an imposing 202-6 from their 20 overs.
Frustrated at being kept off the strike while batting, Lingfield then encountered a pumped up Harry Ramsey, who promptly skittled their first four batsmen, all bowled.
Only A.Hellard with a quickfire 20, and B. Hannah with a patient 31 managed to make much impact, as the visitors subsided to 85 all out in just 15 overs. Stephen Kehl also picking up 4 wickets |
