Newdigate U14 126 - 4 vs. Reigate Priory U14s 84-8

 

Newdigate batted first and after losing a quick wicket Jack Wyllie (37 no) and Thomas Ball (21) put on 59 in seven overs to lay a sound foundation for a good score. Harry Ramsey (17) and Will Bennett (11 no) carried on the good work and after their twenty overs Newdigate had scored 126-4. Priory's H.Kellard, E.Robey, S.Belcher and O.Tim-Williams all took a wicket each.

 

Opener, J.Barrett scored 15 before he was smartly stumped by Mosley and then wickets fell regularly and the only other batsmen to score double figures was Belcher who hit a spirited 21. The leading Newdigate bowlers were Bennett who took 2-14 and Miller with 2-18. This was a solid performance from a good looking Newdigate side.
